Tread Lightly

This week my learning has been sustainability and we have been going to the Tread Lightly Caravan. I found out that a kettle couldn't be activated by human muscles. I wondered how Arnold took up 4.7 Earths. The most difficult part was trying to activate the regular light bulb. Now I know that bees have lots of veins in their wings. My next steps are to start to plant a veggie/herb patch. I enjoyed doing the Environmental Footprint game which is a game where you have to answer questions and at the end it tells you how much Earths you would take up.

  1. Well done Adam. Interesting information about the environmental footprint. Why did Arnold use 4.7 Earths. What does this mean? Do you mean that it took a lot more energy to 'charge' the kettle? Could you explain further please?
