Koru Art Reflection

Koru Art

This term, Miss Akridge taught room 2 how to draw Koru art. 

1. First, you have to plan your drawing. Draw the outline and note what colours to use.
2. Then you need to draw the foreground and then colour and blend the two colours in the Koru. 
3. After that you need to draw the backround and then colour it in.

My favorite part of the koru art was coloring it in. I could make my art better if I could blend the colours better. I enjoyed doing my art because it was fascinating learning how to blend colours. I learnt how to blend colours.

Carey Park Camp

Camp!

At the start of term one, the year five's and sixes went to camp. The year five's did different activities than the year sixes. I am a year five, so I know only what the year five's did. We were divided into six groups and we all had  a time-table so we rotated through the activities. My favourite activity was rock climbing.

The Bird Lady

The Bird Lady And The Parapara Tree

Last Tuesday Sylvia Durrent .the bird lady, visited room 2 to talk about her job and what she does. She brought in a little blue penguin, a morepork and a cook-petrol. She save lots of birds that have been injured. The most of the birds have been attacked by the deadly (to birds) Parapara tree. The Parapara tree can kill birds by using the sticky pods. The pods stick the birds feathers together and they can't move.

Chocolate Brownies Homework

This is the 'Imovie' I made for my brownies.                         

For homework, I made Brownies. I presented them in class. I showed this movie and then I talked about how special the brownies are. I handed them out to the class, including the teachers and everyone said they were really yummy.


My favourite part of making my brownies was obviously tasting the mix. I think I could make better brownies next time if I put more of the Black Forest chocolate. I really enjoyed making my brownies because it's just really fun!
